Demand for artificial intelligence investments continued to accelerate in September, with MEXC reporting a sharp increase in trading activity across tokenized U.S. stocks, semiconductor derivatives, and private-market contracts. AI-related assets recorded an 88% month-over-month increase in trading volume, highlighting growing investor interest in opportunities across the broader AI industry.
Trading volume for tokenized U.S. stock spot products climbed 81%, while Pre-IPO Futures activity increased 60%. AI-related assets outperformed non-AI products, which recorded 63% growth during the same period. AI-linked instruments accounted for 48% of the platform’s total tokenized U.S. stock and ETF spot trading volume, up from 44% in August.

Investors also showed stronger interest in the infrastructure supporting AI development, including optical networking, power equipment, computing systems, and data centers. Semiconductor and memory assets recorded 100% monthly growth, followed by optical communications and networking at 99%, power and energy equipment at 96%, and computing infrastructure and data centers at 91%.
AI companies occupied six of the ten most-traded tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs on the platform, generating 59% of the combined volume among those leading assets. Crypto-related companies accounted for the remaining 41%. Products connected to AI cloud services, chip design, and data center infrastructure represented 38% of the top group’s trading volume, reflecting the expanding range of businesses attracting investor attention.
Semiconductor manufacturers also dominated futures trading. Five of the ten most actively traded stock and index futures were linked to semiconductor and memory companies, accounting for 77% of the group’s total volume. Micron Technology, SK Hynix, and Sandisk ranked as the three leading assets, collectively generating 67% of the top ten’s volume. Nvidia and the Direxion Daily Semiconductor Bull 3X Shares ETF also featured among the most actively traded contracts.
MEXC continued expanding its traditional finance offerings, increasing the number of listed futures trading pairs by 15% during September. Japanese stock futures recorded 47% growth, while the exchange introduced a dedicated section for Taiwanese equities. Pre-IPO Futures remained the fastest-growing category, with Moonshot AI volume rising 115%, Enflame increasing 99%, and OpenAI climbing 51% month over month.
The platform also broadened its private-market exposure by introducing Pre-IPO futures contracts linked to Polymarket, memory manufacturer YMTC, and health technology company Oura. MEXC now offers more than 450 stock and index futures pairs, over 200 tokenized U.S. equities, and access to more than 7,000 U.S. stocks and ETFs through its RealStocks offering.
The latest figures suggest that AI-related trading interest is spreading across an increasingly diverse investment landscape. While semiconductor manufacturers remain central to the trend, investors are also targeting the energy, networking, cloud, and data center infrastructure required to support AI expansion. The continued growth of tokenized equities and pre-IPO products may provide traders with broader market access, although rising trading activity does not necessarily guarantee sustained price appreciation or lower investment risk.
MEXC CEO Vugar Usi said the September figures reflected demand extending beyond semiconductor companies into the wider AI value chain. He emphasized that trading platforms must respond not only by expanding the range of available assets but also by adapting to changing investor needs.
