Revolut is preparing to expand its investment services with the launch of Revolut Ventures, a new platform designed to give eligible investors access to private technology companies before they enter public stock markets. Developed in partnership with Carne Group, the platform aims to broaden access to an investment segment traditionally dominated by wealthy individuals and institutional investors.
The initiative comes as technology companies are increasingly remaining private for longer periods. Figures cited in Revolut’s announcement indicate that the median age of companies at the time of listing increased from 6.9 years in 2014 to 11 years in 2025. As a result, a larger share of their growth and potential value creation takes place before ordinary investors can access their shares through public exchanges.
Revolut Ventures is intended to address this gap by incorporating private-market investment opportunities into the company’s existing financial services ecosystem. The platform is expected to launch in 2027 and will be integrated into the Revolut app alongside established investment products such as stocks, exchange-traded funds, bonds, and money market funds.
The company has positioned the initiative as part of a broader effort to make wealth-management services accessible to a wider range of customers. By offering eligible users a route into private technology investments, Revolut aims to extend its investment platform beyond conventional publicly traded assets.
The planned launch follows the introduction of private-market investment products in selected European Economic Area countries in July 2026. The new platform could build on that experience, although access conditions, investment minimums, available companies, and other product details will determine how widely customers can participate.
Private-company investments also carry risks that differ significantly from those associated with publicly traded shares. They are generally less liquid, may be difficult to value, and can be harder to sell when investors need access to their money. Investors may also lose a substantial portion or all of their capital, particularly if a company fails to meet its growth expectations or struggles to secure further funding.
The expansion fits into Revolut’s wider strategy of diversifying revenue and broadening its financial services. The company has continued to develop its banking operations in Europe and the United Kingdom while reportedly considering a potential dual stock-market listing in London and New York. No listing date has been confirmed.
With Revolut Ventures, the company is seeking to connect everyday investing with a market that has historically been harder to access. The platform’s eventual impact will depend on its eligibility rules, the quality and diversity of available investments, its fee structure, and the safeguards provided to investors entering this less liquid market.
