Ethereum (ETH) is trading around $2,265 USDT, extending its recent decline and moving below an important technical support level. The break beneath $2,282 has weakened the short-term structure and increased the risk of further downside, particularly as the broader cryptocurrency market continues to face selling pressure.
The first support zone is now around $2,237–$2,220, with $2,205 representing another important technical reference near the lower Bollinger Band. If sellers push ETH below this area, the next major support stands near $2,157, followed by $2,012. A sustained move below $2,157 would indicate that the correction is becoming more serious.
On the upside, the former support around $2,282 has become the first resistance to watch. ETH needs to reclaim this level to reduce immediate downside pressure. Above it, the next resistance zone lies around $2,320–$2,350, followed by the stronger $2,400–$2,406 area. A recovery above $2,406 would provide a more convincing signal that buyers are regaining control.
Momentum indicators also require caution. The latest available daily technical snapshot showed RSI around 42.3, indicating relatively weak momentum, while the MACD histogram was slightly positive despite the MACD line remaining below zero. These readings suggest that bearish momentum may have been slowing before the latest price move, but they are not a live recalculation at $2,265. The broader moving-average structure remains unfavorable, with ETH trading below several important daily averages.
Bullish scenario: ETH reclaims $2,282 and establishes support above it. A subsequent move through $2,350 could open the way toward $2,406.
Bearish scenario: Continued trading below $2,282, followed by a break under $2,220, could expose $2,205 and then $2,157. A deeper decline could bring $2,012 into focus.
Ethereum's immediate technical outlook has weakened after losing the $2,282 support. The next reaction around $2,237–$2,220 will be important. Until ETH reclaims $2,282, the risk of further downside remains elevated.
