Avalanche has expanded its global reach through an integration with Zengo, giving the blockchain network access to more than 2 million registered wallet users across 180 countries. Announced on November 4, 2026, the integration allows users to buy, sell, swap, send and receive AVAX and related assets directly through Zengo's mobile application.
The integration is available on both iOS and Android. Zengo uses multi-party computation (MPC) technology instead of traditional seed phrases, combining distributed transaction signing with biometric authentication and recovery mechanisms designed to reduce single points of failure.
The development also strengthens the connection between Avalanche and eToro's crypto ecosystem. eToro acquired Zengo for approximately $70 million in April 2026, while the wallet continues operating independently. Zengo already supports networks including Solana and Chiliz Chain, making Avalanche another addition to its expanding blockchain coverage.
For Avalanche, the integration provides access to an established international user base without requiring users to adopt an entirely new wallet. Easier access to AVAX could reduce onboarding friction and potentially support greater network participation, although access to 2 million registered users does not necessarily translate into 2 million active Avalanche users.
The development also highlights growing competition in the self-custody market, as traditional trading platforms increasingly expand into wallet infrastructure. The key factor to watch is whether the integration converts Zengo's existing user base into sustained demand for Avalanche-based assets and network activity.
