Cardano (ADA) has slipped below $0.25 as weakening daily momentum puts its recent recovery under pressure. TradingView’s Binance ADA/USDT daily chart placed the token near $0.2434 on October 12, down 3.53% for the session, with the latest decline bringing the $0.224–$0.240 support zone into focus.
ADA had recovered from approximately $0.14 in late June, forming a sequence of higher price swings through August, September and early October. However, the advance stalled near the $0.27–$0.28 region, where price approached the upper boundary of a rising channel before retreating. Despite the pullback, ADA remained above the channel’s lower boundary in the chart snapshot, leaving the broader recovery structure intact but under pressure.
Daily momentum indicators showed signs of deterioration. The moving average convergence divergence indicator, or MACD, stood at 0.0060, below its signal line at 0.0084, producing a negative histogram reading of approximately -0.0024. Although the MACD line remained above zero, its position below the signal line indicated that recent bullish momentum had weakened. The average directional index stood at 25.76, but because ADX measures trend strength rather than direction, the reading alone did not establish which side would control the next move.
Analyst Jesse Olson warned of further downside in an October 12 assessment, pointing to bearish divergence and the possibility of a lower high. His chart identified several retracement targets and indicated that two of four had already been reached. The analysis raised the possibility that ADA’s rebound following its initial decline could fail to establish a new high, leaving the token vulnerable to another leg lower.
A separate assessment by Giannis Andreou identified $0.224–$0.240 as a key demand zone. The area includes the 0.382 Fibonacci retracement near $0.2271 and could provide the foundation for another higher low if buyers defend it. Under that scenario, ADA could attempt another move toward $0.281. However, the recovery case depends on stabilization within the support zone rather than an immediate continuation toward previous highs.
The same analysis identified $0.2105 and the 0.618 Fibonacci retracement near $0.1939 as lower levels to monitor if the demand zone fails. A daily close below $0.19 would substantially weaken the analyst’s recovery outlook. On the bullish side, a confirmed daily breakout above $0.281, followed by a successful retest, would strengthen the case for advances toward $0.3147, $0.3880 and $0.4844. The highest projection represented approximately 92.3% upside from the analysis’s reference price of $0.2519, but remains conditional on the required technical developments.
The weekly chart offered a broader perspective. ADA traded below the upper Bollinger Band near $0.2688 while remaining above the 20-week simple moving average, represented by the Bollinger midpoint at approximately $0.1988. The lower band stood near $0.1289. Weekly Chaikin Money Flow was around 0.01, indicating only a marginally positive balance in its volume-weighted measure of buying and selling pressure.
Meanwhile, CoinGlass’s three-day liquidation heatmap showed notable overhead concentrations around $0.258–$0.262, with additional bands extending toward $0.265–$0.269. Nearby concentrations appeared around $0.244–$0.245, while lower areas were visible near $0.240–$0.242. These bands represent estimated liquidation exposure rather than confirmed future price targets, and their presence does not guarantee that ADA will move toward them.
Cardano’s near-term direction therefore hinges on whether buyers can defend the $0.224–$0.240 zone and stabilize momentum after the rejection near $0.27–$0.28. A sustained hold could support another recovery attempt, while a confirmed breakdown would bring lower retracement levels into consideration. Until ADA reclaims key resistance, the competing bullish and bearish scenarios remain dependent on price confirmation.
