U.S.-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs have erased a significant portion of their earlier losses this year after renewed investor demand pushed the products back into positive net flows.
According to data from SoSoValue, Bitcoin ETFs now hold nearly $800 million in net inflows for the year, marking a major reversal from the negative flows recorded earlier in 2026. The recovery follows a period when the same ETF products faced a $5.8 billion net outflow decline on July 13, representing the lowest point of the year.
The turnaround has coincided with Bitcoin’s price recovery toward $85,000 after the asset traded below $58,000 in early June. The combination of stronger ETF demand and Bitcoin’s price rebound has led some market participants to view the recent momentum as a potential shift in market conditions.
A large portion of the renewed ETF demand emerged after U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s August announcement regarding increased bond purchases, a liquidity management measure introduced as bond yields reached multi-year highs. Nearly $4 billion of the ETF inflows since the recovery period have occurred following that announcement.
Despite the improvement, current ETF inflows remain significantly below previous annual records. Net inflows of approximately $800 million so far this year compare with $35.2 billion recorded in 2024 and $21.4 billion in 2025, indicating that institutional demand has recovered but has not yet reached historical levels.
Recent momentum has also been reflected in a six-day consecutive inflow streak for Bitcoin ETFs. During this period, the funds attracted approximately $2.84 billion while Bitcoin’s price movement stabilized above $85,000.
Although the six-day inflow run represents strong demand, previous streaks have generated larger capital inflows. A six-day period between February 22 and 29, 2024 brought in $2.35 billion, while another streak from November 6 to 13, 2024 attracted $4.73 billion.
The recovery in ETF flows highlights the continued importance of institutional products in Bitcoin’s market structure. While recent inflows have improved sentiment around Bitcoin exposure through regulated investment vehicles, market participants may continue monitoring whether this demand can accelerate further and approach previous cycle levels.
