Samsung is preparing to introduce USDC transfers on the Solana network for Galaxy smartphone users in the United States, expanding stablecoin functionality directly within Samsung Wallet.
According to the announcement, the feature is scheduled to become available during the final week of October 2026 and could reach approximately 82 million Galaxy devices across the U.S. Users will be able to send USDC internationally without installing a separate cryptocurrency application, while Solana and Sui infrastructure will support the transfers in the background.
The service is designed to support transfers to external wallets as well as deposits into bank accounts across more than 60 countries, with recipients able to receive funds in local currencies. Samsung said it will not charge users a fee for the transfers.
The integration is being developed in collaboration with Coinbase and Bastion, positioning Samsung Wallet as a more direct access point for stablecoin-based payments. The broader significance will depend on how widely users adopt USDC for cross-border transfers and whether integrating blockchain functionality into a mainstream mobile wallet can reduce barriers to everyday digital-asset usage.
